BIOGRAPHY

 

Sam was born in London in 1970 to a musical family his mother, father and sister all being professional musicians. Sam studied classical music at the Colchester institute for 2 years from 1986 where he attained grade 8 Piano, grade 8 theory of music and two ‘A’ levels (Theory and Practical) in music. Sam then graduated with a 1st in Jazz and Contemporary music from the City of Leeds College of music in 1991. (1st study: Piano / Keyboards. 2nd study: Arranging).

As a professional musician Sam has worked in many areas of the music industry, below are listed just some of his work credits as either a Keyboard player, Pianist, or Musical Director:

 

PERFORMER:

STAR ACTS: Boney M, Brotherhood of Man, George McRae, The Real Thing, The Commitments, The Drifters, The Contours, Odyssey, Rose Royce, JTQ, Jackie Graham.

SHOW BANDS: Sisters of Soul, Reach Out, Sweet Home Chicago, Tribute to the Carpenters, Stars in their eyes ‘Magic of Motown’ & ‘Legends of Rock’, Walk Right Back, Tribute to Dusty Springfield, Heart & Soul, Elvis ‘That’s the way it was’ & ‘King Rocker’ shows.

THEATRE: Newpalm Productions (Musical Director for Pantomime at Chelmsford civic theatre for 16 years plus many other shows including; ‘Rocky Horror Show’, ‘Me & My Girl’, ‘Joseph’ and ‘Peter Pan’. Born to Perform (M.D. 4 years), Barry Stacie Productions (M.D. for numerous children’s shows),

Keyboard player for many shows including; ‘West Side Story’, ‘Grease’, ‘Chess’, ‘Anything Goes’.
